ZIMMERMANN SHIRAZ 2002
This was the start of Zimmermann Wine export to Germany.
The wine has been open fermented and basket pressed and
then matured for 18 months in French and American oak.
Zimmermann Shiraz 2002 is excellent with all dark meats,
cheeses, spicy fish dishes, pasta and gourmet barbeques.
It will ‘open up’ and reach the full flavour, when
decanted.
Zimmermann Wine is approachable now however, it has the
concentration, tannin and acid to guarantee longer term
cellaring.
ZIMMERMANN SHIRAZ 2002 has limited availability in cases

ZIMMERMANN SHIRAZ 2003
The wine making has been hand crafted in the same way as
the previous year and matured for 18 months in French
oak. Production was increased by 100% because the
Zimmermann export market to Germany has doubled since
2002.
In 2003 they received 89 points for red wines from the
German wine
magazine‘ alles über Wein’ – the highest
score out of 130 tested wines. The description states “A
well balanced bouquet of eucalyptus, clove, sherry and
pepper on the nose, with complexity and a very long
finish – a typical Australian Shiraz”.
