THE WINE FRONT
Feb. 4, 2008 by Campbell Mattison
A lot of dense, dark fruit
flavour here. A fair swagger of fine-grained tannin too.
Put these components together with an appropriate level
of toasty, creamy oak and good all-round balance, and
you have yourself a solid, impressive red. This is
hearty and good.
I’d just like to see an ounce more flourish through the
finish.
Drink 2011-2016 - 92 Points.

WINORAMA TASTING
March 31, 2008 by Gary Walsh
Rich and seductive with aromas of
black fruit, plum, Xmas spices, aniseed and a little
eucalyptus. On the palate full bodied, smooth and lush
with velveteen tannins and flavours of plum, berries,
milk chocolate, aniseed and spice. It’s balanced and
very clean with a long sweet and spicy fruit
after-taste. Scrumptious would be a good adjective to
use, so scrumptious it is.
Drink 2008-2016 - 93 Points.
